Latent Space - Bret Taylor on AI Agents, Future of Engineering, and More
Bret Taylor, CEO of Sierra, discussed the challenge of defining product requirements when both customer needs and AI capabilities are evolving rapidly. He emphasized that breakthroughs happen when product, design, and engineering move in sync, continuously adapting as technology advances. On AI co-pilots, he noted that while the tools are impressive, they still require human oversight. At Sierra, most tooling is built in-house to maintain long-term control. Regarding pricing, he predicted that outcome-based models will replace traditional seat-based pricing, as measuring AI’s impact matters more than usage. Finally, he said AI will shift the role of developers from writing code to producing digital solutions, requiring adaptability as the landscape changes.

An Interview with ServiceNow Chairman and CEO Bill McDermott about Enterprise AI Agents
This was a valuable interview, but the discussion on the impact of jobs stood out. McDermott argued that agentic AI won’t take jobs away — it will create them. The tech talent gap is so large that businesses struggle to innovate simply because they lack the resources to execute new ideas.

“And why do I think agentic AI is not going to take jobs away? That it’s actually going to be a job producer? Because there’s such a tech deficit, and because that tech deficit is real, there’s many things around business model innovation that customers can’t do because they don’t have tech talent to do it.” - Bill McDermott (as told to Stratechery)

Gemini Advanced can now recall and use your past chats
Google’s Gemini Advanced recently introduced a recall feature, allowing it to remember past conversations. For B2B teams, this means AI interactions can feel more personalized, efficient, and context-aware, whether it’s customer support referencing past issues or internal teams building on previous discussions without repeating themselves. This update could improve decision-making and reduce time spent re-explaining information. The feature is currently available for Gemini Advanced subscribers and will soon roll out to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users.
