The Verge reported that OpenAI announced that users of ChatGPT’s free tier can now create up to two images per day using the DALL-E 3 model. According to Axios, major news publications are shuttering their opinion sections, forcing more business leaders, elected officials and subject matter experts to go direct with their message. Agenda-setting is increasingly happening on social media, with many executives turning to LinkedIn to share their insights. Over the past year, CEO posts on LinkedIn have risen by 23%, leading to a 39% increase in followers for these leaders. According to LinkedIn data, posts from CEOs receive eight times more impressions and four times more engagements than average posts.

However, placing an op-ed in a major national publication still carries significant weight and guarantees visibility. According to Memo readership data shared with Axios, in the last 30 days, New York Times opinion articles saw 37% more readers than its general news coverage, while op-eds in the Wall Street Journal attracted 571% more readers than general news articles.
