Gartner says AI agents are “one of the most hyped topics in gen AI today”; a survey says 75% of CEOs say AI will impact their industry, up from 21% in 2023
VentureBeat reported that Gartner predicts AI agents will transform the workplace by automating tasks, improving efficiency, and enhancing decision-making, though rising disillusionment is tempering expectations.

GitHub’s Copilot goes multi-model and adds support for Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini
TechCrunch covered GitHub's announcement that developers using its Copilot Chat tool can now choose from multiple large language models, expanding beyond OpenAI’s GPT-4 to include Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro, and other versions of GPT-4o. Anthropic’s model will be available first, with Gemini to follow in the coming weeks.


Google says its next-gen AI agents won’t launch until 2025 at the earliest
In its earnings report, Google announced that its next-gen AI agents, initially expected sooner, are now hitting in 2025. The additional time will allow Google to refine usability and performance, aiming to deliver agents with more natural, context-aware interactions across its ecosystem.
